Bill Wechsler
Bill Wechsler has extensive experience working in and studying peacebuilding, transitioning, and development in post-conflict
societies. After completing his JD at Georgetown University in Washington, DC and having been employed in both the Congress of the United States and the White House, he spent considerable time in then Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and the former Soviet Union. He has also done volunteer work focused upon institution and democracy-building with NGO's in Ethiopia, and Senegal. Professor Wechsler completed his
doctoral work in International Relations, focusing upon the changing nature of security at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He has lectured at several universities across North America and Europe, and is currently teaching International Relations, Law, and Public Policy at the American University in Kosova (AUK). Dr. Wechsler is Director of AUK's Summer Program in Peacebuilding, Post-Conflict Transformation, and Development that will be held this July in Prishtina, Kosova.
