Jenny Goldschmidt
Prof. Jenny Goldschmidt is director at the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) in Utrecht, a research institute of the Utrecht School of Law. In this capacity she is one of the leaders of the research programme 'Human Rights in a World of Conflict and Diversity' and of the Utrecht University research focus area 'Conflicts and Human Rights'. From 1994 until 2003 she presided the Dutch Equal Treatment Commission, which she combined with a chair in Equality and Diversity in Law at the University of Leiden. Jenny Goldschmidt publishes regularly in the fields of legal pluralism and human rights and equality. Ms. Goldschmidt is a member of several national and international organisations, such as the distinguished International Commission of Jurists and the European Union Fundamental Rights Agency.
