Rosi Braidotti
Rosi Braidotti is Distinguished Professor in the Humanities at Utrecht University and founding Director of the Centre for the Humanities. The Centre aims to bundle the most innovative and excellent research of the faculty and to present it to the outside world. Professor Braidotti was born in Italy, raised in Australia, graduated in France and received academic awards in Finland and Poland . In 1988, she founded Women's Studies at Utrecht University. This is the field she has been most active in throughout her career. She wrote several influential works on feminist philosophy, which have been translated in a total of 19 languages.
