Steven Loyst
Steven G. Loyst was born in Canada in 1970. His international career started off early in 1994, when he served for the United Nations in Rwanda. In 1999, Mr. Loyst started working for the Canadian Red Cross, after which he joined the International Committee of the Red Cross in September 2000. Mr. Loyst has served as project manager and relief co-ordinator for the ICRC in Serbia, Guinea and Russia. He worked in Iran as Field Operations Officer for the International Organisation for Migration before continuing his impressive career at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in 2004. For the IFRC, Mr. Loyst was posted in Haiti and Niger, and he further served as Head of Operation in Madagascar and Pakistan. His latest posting was in Indonesia, where he was appointed Head of Sub-Delegation.
